NextInput Expands HMI Portfolio with Innovative IR Sensing
NextInput, Inc., the leader in MEMS-based sensing solutions, today announced its entry into infrared (IR) sensing with its digital IR portfolio, broadening its reach to include touchless applications such as proximity detection and gesture-based controls.The company is focused on delivering innovative sensing solutions across multiple vertical markets such as True Wireless Stereo (TWS), Smartphones, Personal Care, Automotive and IoT. With an ultra-low active current consumption of only 20µA and volume of 0.75mm3, NextInput’s IR sensor is 83% lower power and 25% smaller than equivalent alternatives, making it ideal for space and power-constrained applications. Furthermore, integration is simplified by eliminating the required mechanical light guide. NextInput IR enables industrial designs that are smaller, lighter, and more cost-effective.
